I really enjoy sports. . .

My favorite professional sport is basketball.

My favorite professional teams are the Knicks and the Bulls.

On the personal side, I enjoy hiking and climbing.

This past summer, friends and I enjoyed a week in Wyoming visiting the Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone is the nation's first and oldest national park. It was established in 1872. One of the world's most extensive areas of geothermal activity is located here. Yellowstone contains more than 10,000 geysers and hot springs (Old Faithful being the most often visited). It is the home to the largest elk herds in the nation, the largest free-roaming bison herd in the world (We saw them at Hayden Valley), and one of the last places where you can see grizzly bear and wolves (re-introduced only recently). Also within the park is Yellowstone Lake, the largest high elevation lake in the U.S. and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

Towering more than a mile above the valley known as Jackson Hole, the Grand Teton rises to slightly over 13,000 feet above sea level. The twelve Teton peaks reach above 12,000 feet elevation. The Teton Range is the youngest of the mountains in the Rocky Mountain system, and displays some of the North America's oldest rocks.

You can visit the Grand Teton National Park Homepage at http://www.nps.gov/grte/
